  Madhubani art represents our cultural heritage. India is rich in its tradition. Madhubani art is claimed to be the root of Indian mythology. It has taken its name from the geographic origin of Bihar(north area). It is also known as Mithila art , painted with colors prepared from local plants. Cow dung is used to treat bamboo sticks and the paper is used as brushes. This technique of preparing Madhubani art is been passed on to generations.
